Summary of the role: 

We are currently recruiting a Delivery Manager to head up legal services delivery for our Global Technology client. You will work as part of a growing team developing and providing best in class delivery services in a dynamic environment.

In this role you will be overseeing high growth teams of Legal Operations Assistants & Legal Project Managers to ensure we deliver the best possible legal services to meet our clients requirements. We’re looking for a client facing Delivery Manager with strong leadership skills and legal project management experience who’ll go the extra mile to support our legal professionals and clients. 

As a member of the LOD Managed Services team, you will be responsible for helping us continue to develop our services. You must have experience and an interest in working with other like-minded Legal professionals, you are the crucial bridging point between our clients legal team and our Legal Operations team delivering the service day to day.

In your day to day role, you’ll be responsible in the following areas:

  • Managing a team of Legal Operation Assistants and Legal Project Managers 

  • Overseeing allocation of incoming work to optimise utilisation of the team

  • Ensuring that legal tasks are turned around in a timely manner and projects are running smoothly

  • Ensuring key performance indicators and service level agreements are met

  • Building out know-how and guidance documents to help improve the service

  • Reporting on team performance and preparing client ready reports.  This includes analysing raw data to suggest process improvements. 

  • Recognising points for improvement within processes and systems and putting in place plans to improve things

  • Handling escalations raised by the clients or the team in relation to delivery.

  • Building a trusted relationship with our clients. You will be the first point of contact for the client on anything related to this service

  • Emotional intelligence to assess any situation and confidence to use initiative/ask for help

  • Strong communication skills to ensure team members understand the task at hand and client expectations are managed

  • Attend and run regular client calls and meetings

  • Willingness to take ownership and see a task and project through from start to completion

  • Experience with other reporting packages (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) and presenting this to the internal business and client. 

  • Some experience as a Legal Project Management experience would be a nice to have.
